The Labour Law Maternity Benefits Act 1961 is available to protect the occupation of women during her maternity time. She can get a 'maternity benefit'; a full paid absence from work. The act is applicable to all companies, which are having 10 or more than 10 employees. The Act is appropriate for all establishments which include plantations, Government establishments, factories, shops, mines, and establishments under the pertinent applicable legislation.
